2nd Sunday of every month is a short family service followed by tea/coffee/juice and biscuits in the parish hall.  Every other Sunday during the school term time our Sunday Club runs for children aged 3 to end of primary school

The Church is run by a community of Dominican priests, who recite the Devine Office  publicly in Church at 9.25 and 5.40pm.  Lay participation is welcome.

Methodist Church

Woodstock Street

 

Athy Methodist Church, in Woodstock Street dates from 1872 and is part of the Portlaoise Circuit which also includes Mountmellick and Ballyhupahaun

Sunday

Sunday Worship is held weekly at 11.45am and we celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month

Praise Service

A monthly Praise Service is held is held on the third Sunday of each month at 7.30pm

Bible Study

A weekly Bible Study group meets on Wednesdays at 8pm in the Church Hall and visitors are always welcome

“J” Club

The “J” Club meets on Mondays at 4.30pm during the school year and welcomes girls and boys between the ages of 5 and 12 for a varied programme of songs, quizzes, Bible stories, craft and games
